Director of Web Development (FILLED)

As the Director of Web Development, you would oversee the development process for all client projects, from scoping and estimation to deployment and maintenance. Work closely with the Account Director and the Project Managers to ensure that the development deliverables are aligned with the client’s vision and goals, and that the projects are delivered on time and within budget. You’ll manage the technical aspects of the agency, such as servers, code repositories, databases, and DNS records. Additionally, assist in troubleshooting and bug fixes, and provide technical support and guidance to clients and developers. Some of the skills in daily use are web development, WordPress, BigCommerce, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, and Git.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Gather functional requirements for more complex tasks

  • Help with SOW and FRD when needed

  • Reach out to 3rd party vendors if necessary

  • Participate in UAT, help QA lead

  • General Platform Functionality

  • Reach out to vendor for technical questions

  • Assist with any internal technical training

  • Help QA lead train customer service

  • Assist with platform updates and patches

  • Work with Project Manager to set roll out priorities

  • Maintain dev servers

  • Provide all access to servers, repos, etc. for developers

  • Help developers with deployments

  • Assist developers in coming up with solutions to problems/tasks

Senior Developer (FILLED)

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • BigCommerce and/or Shopify and/or WordPress development (hopefully all three)

  • PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX, Handlebars

  • Current Javascript libraries

  • e-commerce site structure

  • working closely with designers and ability to accept constructive feedback and quickly adopt design concepts

  • turning a Photoshop/Illustrator/XD/Figma file into a living, breathing website

  • being a good team member, trustworthy, kind and helpful

  • effective verbal and written communications

  • source control: GIT or SVN

  • would be nice to have: experience with WooCommerce, Node, React, HTML 5, REST and SOAP, API connections

Interactive Designer UTAH (FILLED)

Do you have intimate /heated discussions with Illustrator? Do you love solving problems through design? Do you want your design to win awards? Would you like to work with a young yet mature team of eCommerce professionals in Salt Lake City? Yes? Great, keep reading.

Technical Skills + Knowledge

Someone who has an advanced understanding UI design, UX studies and art concepts along with a decent understanding of HTML / CSS. You should be at home using Adobe’s Creative Suite. Working without a lot of supervision is a plus.

Academic Skills + Knowledge

You should have a resume / deck which clearly demonstrates your outstanding design ability. We need to see online examples of your work.

Example Tasks:

  1. Create wireframes, rough-cuts and finalized designs for Magento, WordPress, Bigcommerce and other platforms

  2. Create an interactive flow chart for various user groups and functionality

  3. Make basic HTML/CSS/JS code updates across various Magento sites, templates and web services


Jr. Developers + Interns UTAH (FILLED)

Technical Skills and Knowledge

Someone who has a decent understanding of HTML and CSS and a junior level understanding of Javascript. You should be very familiar with browser compliance and the W3C. You must be willing to read documentation and apply it to various workflows.

Academic Skills + Knowledge

You should have had some classes in math, logic, web development and/or computer science. You should be quite comfortable with admins, FTP, various tools, eCommerce and finding solutions in forums or Googling it. You should have a cv/resume which clearly demonstrates your ability of the above.

Example Tasks:

  1. Take a design, cut it up and turn it into a HTML/CSS template for various platforms

  2. Configure a shopping cart in an easy-to-use admin based on client requirements

  3. Create cross-browser / cross-device compliant code for a particular web page

  4. Read some documentation about a shopping cart feature, implement it, test it and/or modify it

Compensation: 3 Month Paid internship with bonus at the end of the internship. Possibility of full time after successful completion of program.
